Dear parents, carers & swimmers
We are writing to update on arrangements for swimming lessons following the government announcements this week and the Swim England briefing note that was published in response. Whilst the advice was open to interpretation, we have decided that it is prudent to suspend lessons with immediate effect.
These are unprecedented times and as a family business, we are enormously thankful for your support. We were encouraged that attendance for lessons last weekend was around 65% and we were hoping that whilst schools were open, we would be able to continue to provide lessons, but we have decided that an early end to the term is sensible.
This early closure, three weeks prior to the end of term and the subsequent two-week Easter break, provides a five-week break in lessons. We are due to re-open on the weekend of 24th April, but we will obviously be in touch before then with an update.
In terms of credits and payments that you have made, these will all be assigned to your account and will be applied to lessons once we resume. The 3 remaining credits for this term will be added to credits that you have purchased towards future lessons, 13 (for Friday lessons) or 14 (for Sat/Sun lessons). We will not use your credits whilst we are closed, they will only start to be used once we have re-opened and started lessons again. If you have not yet re-booked then we will apply your 3 credits for the first 3 lessons next term, we will contact you nearer the time to agree a suitable class and time.
These are clearly difficult times, as a family business we are enormously grateful to all our wonderful customers for their support and we wish all parents, pupils and the KickStart team good health. We can’t wait to see you all back enjoying swimming lessons with us again. Meanwhile, the office will remain open and if there is anything we can do to help, please do let us know.
